The Cultural Diversity Committee would like to thank all of the participants at the panel on education held on April 29. We engaged in a thoughtful dialogue on the wide range of educational options that are either currently offered or are being proposed, including traditional public schools and the initiatives Superintendent Taylor is leading, public charter schools as a vehicle for autonomy, and the implications St. George could have on the rest of our community. We ended the session reflecting on the role of young professionals in helping to improve schools across our city. If you were unable to attend, but would like to learn more, please let us know.
The panel was covered in The Advocate. The story can be found by clicking here.
