BATON ROUGE – Forum 35 has opened applications for its John W. Barton, Sr. Community Leadership Development Program. The program will be held over four sessions in various locations around Baton Rouge beginning in October.
The Barton Program trains up to 30 selected participants in nonprofit governance and matches them with local nonprofit organizations to serve on their Board of Directors.
The 2014 program dates are October 29, November 12, December 3, and a matching session on December 10. Each session will run from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. and is mandatory for successful completion of the program.
Applications for the program will be accepted until October 10. Interested participants can learn more and apply on the Forum 35 website by clicking here.
LSU Executive Education will administer the program.
Forum 35 President Eric Dexter said, “We are excited to be working with LSU Executive Education for the first time in the Barton Program’s ten year history. We feel that this is the right move in continuing Forum 35’s leadership initiative of enabling members to develop leadership skills while promoting community involvement and volunteerism in Baton Rouge.”
