On April 17, 2015, Forum 35 was joined Rachel DiResto, Executive Vice President of the Center for Planning Excellece, for its monthly Forum Friday luncheon at Juban’s. Mrs. DiResto has been with CPEX since its inception more than 15 years ago and has overseen countless initiatives wherein CPEX has stewarded the growth of Baton Rouge, from the revitalization of downtown to the Complete Streets Initiative recently approved by the Metro Council.

The theme of her discussion, “You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby,” covered her personal story of getting involved in making Baton Rouge a better place, CPEX’s and Forum 35’s roles in those efforts, and the many upcoming initiatives in which young professionals can continue to make a difference. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session further expanding on those topics.

Forum Friday is Forum 35’s monthly membership luncheon, featuring a three-course lunch, and a presentation from a guest speaker focusing on issues crucial to the needs and concerns of Baton Rouge’s young professionals and leaders.
