Call for Applications - School Renovation Project

This project is designed to enhance the physical surroundings of schools in EBR Parish School System; providing scholars with an upgraded, organized & well-kept learning environment.  The outcome of this project could potentially strengthen the selected school and increase the desire to perform with excellence.  
 
All schools within the EBR Parish School System are eligible for this opportunity.  Each school has its own set of unique needs, desires and goals.  Those needs are an important part of the selection and should be presented through the application process with clarity for the selection committee.  
 

Application Needs:

1. Select a Project Manager from your school that will be in direct contact with the Volunteer Team throughout the planning process.  The Project Manager should have the authority to make administrative and logistical decisions for the school.  The Project Manager must be present the day of the project and remain on campus until the renovation is complete.

 

2. Provide a detailed list that clearly states the desired needs of the school and what impact it would give to your campus.

For example; last year we had 66 volunteers participate.  We painted classrooms, hallways and administrative offices.  The volunteers also painted exterior walls, doors and poles.  Pot holes were filled and landscaping was completed.

  • Indoor (e.g. painting, organization, cleaning, organization)
  • Outdoor (e.g. painting, mural, landscaping, filling potholes)

3. Does the school have connections/partnerships that could potentially provide funding or supplies?  Clearly state these connections and how it may enhance the project.

 

4. Waiver Form must be provided by the school to all volunteers.

 

5. The Project Manager and school campus must be available at one of the Preferred project dates: August 1, August 2, August 8, or August 9
