On May 22, 2015, Forum 35 was joined for its monthly Forum Friday luncheon at Juban’s Restaurant by a panel of speakers who represented Baton Rouge on the 2015 Super Region Canvas Trip. This year’s canvas trip saw business and community leaders from Baton Rouge and New Orleans travel to the Sun Corridor of Arizona to meet with leaders from the Phoenix and Tucson areas to better understand how their regions can learn from one another how to better foster sustained growth and success. Members of the panel were:
John Delgado, Metro Council member and attorney
Carolyn McKnight, BREC Superintendent
Kasey Henry, Forum 35 President and CPA at Hannis T. Bourgeois
Eric Dexter, Forum 35 Past President and Director of Business Development at Civil Solutions Consulting Group
Mathew Laborde, Forum 35 VP of Development and Commercial Agent with Beau Box Real Estate
Panel members shared some of their biggest takeaways from the trip, what the Sun Corridor is doing successfully that can be applied to the Baton Rouge/New Orleans super region and, as always, participated in an open question and answer session with attendees.
Forum Friday is Forum 35’s monthly membership luncheon, featuring a three-course lunch, and a presentation from a guest speaker focusing on issues crucial to the needs and concerns of Baton Rouge’s young professionals and leaders.
