Registration is now open for Forum 35's Reindeer Run and Jingle Bell Jog 2015
Do you hear the bells? It must mean registration is now open for Forum 35's Reindeer Run and Jingle Bell Jog 2015! The fun, flat races will take place Dec. 4, 2015 -- at the same time as downtown's Festival of Lights to ring in the holiday season in Baton Rouge.
Early bird registration is now open for just $20 for runners ages 6 to 17 and only $25 for runners ages 18 and up. Every runner who registers by Nov. 1 is guaranteed a shirt in their size.
Keeping with the holiday spirit, Forum 35 will again be working with the United States Marines' Toys for Tots program, so all participants are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to this great program. (But please, no weapon toys.) Checks written out to "Toys for Tots" will also be accepted for donations.
The Reindeer Run is a 5k race with a great route that brings runners through downtown Baton Rouge and around the Capitol and offers a fun opportunity to get a jump-start on those New Year's resolutions to get fit. The 1-mile Jingle Bell Jog is especially fun for those youngsters who haven't yet graduated to the 5k or for anyone looking to warm up before the longer race.
The 1-mile Jingle Bell Jog begins at 7 p.m. on race day, and the 5k will begin at 7:20 p.m.
Early bird registration prices will be valid through Oct. 1 when fees are $25 for runners ages 6 to 17 and $30 for runners ages 18 and up. Planning to register last-minute, in-person on December 3 & 4th? Registration increases to $30 for 6 to 17 and $35 for 18 and up, so runners should sign up early and save!
Of course, Forum 35's Reindeer Run and Jingle Bell Jog would not be possible without its sponsors. Special thanks to Beau Box, which is presenting this year's race and will host our packet pickup on Dec. 3 at 5500 Bankers Avenue.
Anyone looking to sponsor the Reindeer Run and Jingle Bell Jog or help volunteer at the races can contact email@example.com. They can also go to our website at www.reindeerrunbr.com.
