On September 12 & 13, 2015, Forum 35's Service Committee organized volunteers to attend two separate volunteer projects...one with Mid City Redevelopment Alliance and the other with The Walls Project Art & Design Center.

On September 12th, Forum 35 volunteers (along with community volunteers from Baton Rouge General, City Year and more) worked to renovate a retired fireman's house in rememberance of September 11th and those that helped in the aftermath. Volunteers rebuilt and painted a handicap ramp up to the house, hung new fascia boards, and cleaned/painted other parts of siding. With a show of approximately 100 community volunteers total, Forum 35 contributed 15 volunteer hours to the event.

On September 13th, Forum 35 volunteers joined forces with Walls Project staff and volunteers to clean, paint, sand, and weld at the Walls Project's Art & Design Center in downtown Baton Rouge. Beautifying this space will enable Walls to offer up the center for community use, furthering the reach the arts have in our community. Forum 35 contributed 20 volunteer hours to the event.
