BATON ROUGE – Call for entries for Forum 35’s Art Melt is now open. Louisiana artists may submit their piece online at www.forum35.org/ArtMelt. The deadline for entries is May 15.
Forum 35’s Art Melt is the largest multi-media, juried art exhibit in the state of Louisiana. Now in its 14th year, Art Melt strives to promote professional artists throughout the state of Louisiana while providing an opportunity for the public to experience the exhibit. The show is open to Louisiana residents only. All art must be original pieces produced within the last two years.
All accepted artwork will be available for sale and displayed to the public in the Art Melt exhibit from July 22 to August 24 in Capitol Park Museum gallery, located in downtown Baton Rouge. Viewing of the gallery will be free to the public on opening day, Saturday July 22. Following opening day, viewing of the gallery will be available during regular museum hours and included in the regular museum admission fee.
The winners of the 2017 Art Melt will be announced at the Art Melt Preview Party on Friday, July 21 at the Capitol Park Museum. The Preview Party will also be the first opportunity for the public to view the exhibit and purchase the artwork, and will be a ticketed event.
