Forum 35 Announces 2017 Public Education Project

BATON ROUGE– Forum 35 is kicking off the annual Public Education Project (PEP) with Merrydale Elementary by hosting a renovation project at the school onSaturday, July 29, 2017 from 8 am to 4 pm.

 

Thisprojectis designed to enhance the physical surroundings of Merrydale Elementary school; providing scholars with an upgraded, organized & well-kept learning environment. The outcome of thisprojectcould potentially strengthen the selected school and increase the desire to perform with excellence.

 

This year Forum 35 plans to have teams work on specificprojectareas for the day.The goal is to be as accommodating to people’s schedules and work preferences as possible while still accomplishing a large number of tasks within the course of a day.

 

Renovation activities for the day may include but are not limited to:

  • Repainting classrooms
  • Repainting the playground map of the United States and basketball court
  • Repairing benches
  • Repairing, repainting and replanting school gardens and planters
