Forum 35’s Barton Leadership Program Applications Now Open

BATON ROUGE- Applications for the 2017 John W.Barton, Sr. Community Leadership Development Program are now open to young professionals in the community.

 
The Barton Leadership Program is Forum 35’s investment in the present to ensure a lasting impact on the future. The Barton Leadership Program creates the stepping-stone young professionals need to become more effective leaders, and more importantly to help them use those skill sets in the nonprofit community.
 
Forum 35 is looking for active members of our community who seek to move their impact at a higher level.Eligible candidates will not only have a passion for philanthropy, but also the desire to take a leadership role in those philanthropic causes.
 
Only 30 candidates will be selected for this course, which costs $200 for Forum 35 members and $250 for the general public.
 
Applications must be submitted online at www.forum35.org/barton by August 30, 2017.
 

More About Barton Leadership Program

 

TheBartonLeadership Program offers emerging leaders in the community a course curriculum that focuses on the aspects of leadership development and board governance. The curriculum is delivered in three-hour sessions on four different evenings.

Using a combination of both industry experts and community leaders, theBartonLeadership Program creates an interactive classroom setting that allows participants to learn, question and debate real life scenarios related to leading and governing in the non-profit sector.

In the middle of the lecture series, each candidate will be required to attend a live board meeting with one of our partnering non-profit agencies.This allows for candidates to see some of the lessons taught in action, as well as bring those experiences back to the classroom.

To close out the program, Forum 35 coordinates a meet-and-greet between theBartonFellows and leaders of the Baton Rouge Area non-profit community.At this session, you will be provided an opportunity to sit down with non-profit organizations looking for new leaders and board members.
