Couple your love for wine and good food, passion for a good cause and desire to mix and mingle with old and new friends in a fun, casual social setting. Downtown venues are selected to host the events to help foster the resurgence of the downtown social life while benefiting charities where the evening’s donation will make an impact.
At each event, different wine varietals are highlighted. Invitees are encouraged to form teams of up to 3 members and participate in the competition or simply come and enjoy the wine and atmosphere. Each team selects and purchases three identical bottles of its favorite wine to present. Two bottles are bagged, tagged, and offered for blind tasting and scoring. The majority of the third bottles will go into the "pot" to be awarded to the winning team, while some will be grouped together in the silent auction for bidding. At the conclusion of the festivities the scores are tallied, the winners are recognized and awarded the "pot” to split while the lowest scoring wine is returned to its rightful owner to take home.

These guys love Baton Rouge and they also love wine. From this base, Uncorked was born. Their goal is to provide young professionals an opportunity to enjoy good wine and "pass a good time” while supporting a local charity.
Each tasting will feature a local Baton Rouge area charity selected by the founding members. A minimum donation of $25 per person will be collected via ticket sales with half of those proceeds going directly to our featured charity. The charity plays an integral role in the event: helping organize and providing information about their cause or services.
Although the social aspect of the tasting is the foundation of Uncorked, a different charity is selected at each tasting to benefit from your generosity. Below is a list of the charities Uncorked has sponsored to date:
